2025 Fall tRYOUT dATE

Date: Wednesday, July 16th, 2025 or Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025

Athletes will be evaluated in a number of categories "Infield, Outfield, Batting, Speed, Arm velocity and Bat velocity.  Evaluators will consist of high school coaches from Irondale, Mounds View and/or independent outside evaluators.  MVSA Board members and players from Irondale and Mounds View High school softball programs will be volunteers that will help run stations and drills.

Athletes that registered as a pitcher and/or catcher will be evaluated at the beginning or end of their tryout session.  It is recommended that pitchers or catchers arrive to the tryout having completed their pitching warmup routine at home.  We will allow a short warm up period at tryouts but it will not be feasible to allow the pitcher to go through their full routine if longer than 5-10 minutes.  Catchers should bring their own equipment, but we will have equipment for those that need it.

Parents will be allowed to assist their athlete with the registration process, but all parents will need to leave the facility during tryouts.
