Friend request: "Please read"
Teams are formed based of skill level first. If players are of similar skill level then we will do our best to honor a friend request for 8U, 10U and 12U players. When making a friend request you can have one other player requested and that player would need to reciprocated your request as well.
Traveling Fastpitch Commitment: "Please Read"
MVSA expects traveling Fastpitch to be a spring/summer sports priority over other spring and summer sports. Players are expected to attend all practices and games and always display a team first attitude, exemplary sportsmanship, and respect for players, parents, and coaches
We recognize that family commitments, schoolwork, religion or similar activities should be a top priority for our children. Infrequent scheduling conflicts that arise from these priorities or an illness that causes a player to miss an occasional practice or a game, is certainly understandable. Players or parents are asked to notify coaches in advance of any scheduling conflicts.
MVSA Volunteer Policy
MVSA relies on volunteer support to keep player costs affordable. Families are expected to contribute volunteer hours during the season, which may include concessions or field maintenance at tournaments. Teams assigned to Field 1 at Rice Creek Fields will manage the concession stand during the weekday league games and this does not count toward your season volunteer hours. Only MVSA board members and head coaches are exempt from these duties.
To ensure participation, MVSA requires a volunteer commitment check from each family before the season begins. Players will not be eligible until this check is received. Volunteer hour requirements vary by age group and are determined annually based on tournament needs. Checks will only be deposited if the required hours are not completed.
Families who have not met their volunteer obligations will be notified by the last week of July and given an opportunity to fulfill their commitment before the season ends. Any disputes regarding volunteer hours must be resolved prior to the final tournament.
