Mounds View Softball Association

The Mounds View Softball Association (MVSA) is committed to: providing opportunities for girls to play fastpitch softball; promoting and supporting fastpitch softball in the Mounds View 621 School District area; emphasizing development of fundamental softball skills in a fun, safe and competitive environment; and ensuring a positive and rewarding experience to maximize personal and team growth.

2022 Fall Ball - Registration has been Extended

Fall Ball schedules games on weekends with two 65 minute games against different teams. Game1 starts at either noon or 3 with second game immediately following the first. Last year 10U played on Saturday and other levels played on Sunday. Games will start the weekend of August 20 and will end with state tournament the weekend of September 24. No games are played Labor Day weekend.

8U will have a fall ball experience similar to summer ball through the Centennial fast pitch association.

In general, summer second year players move up to the next age level during fall ball. If your player is age 11 during calendar year 2022, they would play 12U for fallball. The intent is to give players the opportunity to play at different pitching distances and ball sizes as appropriate for what they will be seeing next summer. Fall ball in general is a more casual environment with opportunities to try new things.

Registration will close as team sizes dictate.

FALL 2022 Tryouts

July 19 and July 26 at Rice Creek.  Players only need to attend one tryout.  Tryouts are optional but those wanting to play on the A team should ensure they attend one of the tryout dates.

6-7pm - 10u

7-8pm - 12u

8-9pm - 14u

2022 Volunteer Requirements & Opportunities - Sign up

MVSA is an organization that is built on volunteerism. 

MVSA is able to keep the players cost affordable because of it. 

All families are asked to volunteer through out the season working in concessions or field maintenance during tournaments. This time GOES towards your required SIX hours PER PLAYER.

During the regular season, teams assigned to field 1 at Rice Creek will have responsibility for managing the concessions stand.  This time DOES NOT got towards your required SIX hours.

ALL Volunteers MUST:

-Sign In/Out for credit in the RED Book

(Signing up online does not confirm your hours worked - it only holds your commitment to work)

-Be healthy    -Wear a hat       -Be 12 years or older
