MVSA is proud to announce that they will host the 2009 NAFA 14,16,18 Northern Nationals up at Rice Creek Fields.  The Dates of this event will be July 23 - July 26th.

The Mounds View Diamond Devils captured their 3rd straight tournament and have qualified as the #1 seed for the upcoming MMFL 18U "A" State tournament.

The team was led by great hitting - scoring 36 runs in four games. The team had four different pitchers earn wins in the tournament. Jyll Tusa, Katie Kruse, Bekah Roth and Rose Tusa held the opponents to 5 runs in the tournament!!

The Diamond Devils won their second straight 43' 18U Elite tournament at The White Bear College Showcase.  Congratulations Diamond Devils!

The White Bear College Showcase 43' 18U Elite tournament Champions!

The 12U Mounds View Black team went undefeated and won The South St. Paul Fastpitch Tournament.  The two-day tournament was held on June 20 and 21, 2009.  This is the 2nd straight tournament championship for the team this season. 

The 12U Mounds View Mustangs are Champions of the Winona Stars and Strikes 2-Day Tournament, held on June 13 and 14, 2009. Congratulations Mustangs!

Way to go Mounds View girls! The 14U Mounds View Mustangs and Mounds View Green met in the final game of the Silver Bracket in the Coon Rapids Cardinal Classic tourney on June 14, 2009.  The Mounds View Mustangs came out on top.

Congratulations to the 18U Diamond Devils!  They won the 2009 Lakeville Summer Grand Slam Tournament.  This two day event was played June 13th and 14th.  They won the "Elite 43' Bracket".

Mounds View 12U teams dominated the Little Canada Tournament on June 6th and 7th, 2009.  Mounds View Black and Mounds View Strikers both were undefeated heading into the Gold Bracket Championship game.   It was an exciting finish to the two-day Tournament.   Pictured below are members of the Mounds View Strikers and Mounds View Black teams with their gold and silver medals.  Great Job Mounds View girls!

Congratulations to the 12U Mounds View Black Team for going undefeated in the Little Canada Tournament to win the Gold Bracket Championship on June 7, 2009.   

Congratulations to the 14U Mounds View Mustangs!  They won the Silver Bracket Championship of the Centennial Classic Tournament on May 31, 2009.

Coach John Champion's 14U Green team are the Champions of the 2009 Lakeville Classic Tournament!  The team went undefeated in the two-day tournament, which was held on May 16th and 17th, 2009.  

Our in-house program is open to all girls ages 7, 8, 9 and 10 (age as of 12/31/2008).  It's designed to teach young girls the fundamentals of fastpitch softball.  The program is fun and low key.  Typically one practice a week and one game per week against another MVSA in-house team.

• May 4 - Start date for 12U.  Double headers on Monday and Wednesdays.
• May 7 - Start date for 10U.  Double headers on Tuesdays and Thursdays (plays only on Thursdays until school lets out).
• May 26 - Start date for 14U.  Double headers on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
• June 2 - Start date for 18U.  Double headers on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
• June 3 - Start date for 16U.  Double headers on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Qualifier dates:

• June 26, 27, 28                         10U and 12U
• July 10, 11, 12                           14U and 16U
• July 11, 12                                 18U

State tournament dates:

• July 10, 11, 12                           10U and 12U
• July 17, 18, 19                           14U and 16U

The Mounds View Softball Association (MVSA) is committed to: providing opportunities for girls to play fastpitch softball; promoting and supporting fastpitch softball in the Mounds View 621 School District area; emphasizing development of fundamental softball skills in a fun, safe and competitive environment; and ensuring a positive and rewarding experience to maximize personal and team growth.

Participation is open to all girls ages 7 to 19 living or attending school in the Mounds View School District 621 attendance area. This includes girls living in the Arden Hills, Mounds View, New Brighton, North Oaks, Roseville, Shoreview and Vadnais Heights communities.

Location: Home games for traveling teams are played at Rice Creek Fields, located at 5880 Rice Creek Parkway in Shoreview (between County Roads I & J).
